An Indian citizen may use this visa-free arrangement only when they hold a valid multiple-entry business or tourist visa issued by at least one of the following:

Schengen Member States

New Zealand

Conditions You Must Meet

Before travelling under this exemption, make sure you can satisfy all of the following conditions:

You are travelling on an Indian passport.
You hold a currently valid multiple-entry tourist or business visa from one of the qualifying countries/areas listed above.
You have a confirmed air ticket for onward travel to your country of origin or to a third country.
Your intended stay in Uzbekistan is no longer than 30 days from the date of entry.
Your qualifying foreign visa remains valid when you use the Uzbekistan visa-free arrangement.

Important Rule About Old Passports

The Embassy of India in Tashkent stated in its advisory dated 22 September 2026 that this exemption applies only when the qualifying visa is on the traveller's latest valid passport. A qualifying visa contained only in an expired or old passport is not accepted for this visa-free facility.

How Long Can Eligible Indians Stay in Uzbekistan?

Eligible travellers can stay in Uzbekistan for up to 30 days from the date of entry. The visa-free facility is available during the validity period of the qualifying foreign visa. Travellers should ensure that their planned itinerary, passport and qualifying visa remain compliant with the entry conditions for the entire trip.
