Qatar Visitor Visa Requirements for Indians

Indian citizens must carry the following documents when travelling to Qatar:

1. Valid Indian Passport

The applicant must hold an Indian passport that is valid for at least three months from the intended date of entry into Qatar. The passport should have sufficient blank pages and must not be damaged.

2. Confirmed Return Flight Ticket

A confirmed round-trip or onward flight ticket showing the traveller’s departure from Qatar is required. Open or unconfirmed flight reservations may not be accepted.

3. Discover Qatar Hotel Reservation

Travellers must have a confirmed hotel reservation booked through the Discover Qatar platform.

For Indian passport holders using the visa-on-arrival facility, hotel reservations made through other travel websites or booking platforms may not be accepted for immigration purposes. The hotel booking should cover the planned period of stay in Qatar.

4. Qatar-Approved Health Insurance

Visitors must hold valid health insurance issued by an insurance provider approved by Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health. The policy must provide the required medical coverage for the duration of the visit.

5. Proof of Sufficient Funds

Travellers should be prepared to demonstrate that they have sufficient funds to cover accommodation, food, transportation, and other expenses during their stay. Immigration authorities may request supporting evidence such as bank statements, an international debit or credit card, or cash.

6. Supporting Travel Documents

Travellers should also carry:

• Confirmed travel itinerary
• Hotel booking confirmation
• Travel or medical insurance certificate
• Proof of employment or business, where applicable
• Invitation letter and host details when visiting family or friends
• Copies of the passport and other important travel documents

Qatar Visitor Visa Application Process

Indian citizens using the visa-on-arrival facility do not normally need to submit a visa application before departure.

Before travelling, the visitor must:

1. Confirm passport validity.
2. Book eligible accommodation through Discover Qatar.
3. Purchase Qatar-approved health insurance.
4. Obtain a confirmed return or onward flight ticket.
5. Carry all supporting documents while travelling.
6. Present the documents to Qatar immigration upon arrival.

The final decision regarding entry, permitted duration of stay, and visa issuance is made by Qatar immigration authorities at the port of entry.

Important Conditions

The Qatar visitor visa does not permit the traveller to work, conduct employment, or undertake activities that require a residence or work permit.

Visitors must leave Qatar before the authorised stay expires. Overstaying may result in fines, immigration restrictions, detention, deportation, or difficulties obtaining future visas.
