Available Bahrain Visitor Visa Options

Depending on eligibility, Indian applicants may be offered one or more of the following:

Two-Week Single-Entry Visit eVisa

This visa permits one entry into Bahrain and normally allows the traveller to stay for up to two weeks.

Government fee:

• Application fee: BHD 4
• Visa issuance fee: BHD 9
• Total government fee: BHD 13

Three-Month Multiple-Entry Visit eVisa

This visa allows multiple visits during its validity period, subject to the stay conditions mentioned on the approved visa.

Government fee: BHD 29, including the BHD 4 application fee and BHD 25 issuance fee.

Five-Year Multiple-Entry Visit eVisa

Eligible applicants may also be offered a multiple-entry visitor visa valid for five years.

Government fee: BHD 64.

Visa availability and permitted stay are determined by Bahrain’s Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs based on the applicant’s profile.

Documents Required for a Bahrain Visitor Visa

Applicants will generally need to provide:

1. Clear copy of the passport biodata page
2. Confirmed return or onward flight ticket
3. Confirmed hotel reservation or accommodation details in Bahrain
4. Personal bank statements for the previous three months, in English
5. Evidence of regular income or adequate funds for the visit
6. Valid GCC residence permit, where applying under the GCC resident category
7. Additional documents requested by Bahrain immigration authorities

The official requirements specify a regular monthly income of approximately BHD 300–500 or sufficient funds equivalent to BHD 150 for each day of the intended visit.

Depending on the applicant’s circumstances, the following may also be requested:

• Employment letter or leave approval
• Salary slips
• Business registration documents for self-employed applicants
• Invitation letter from a host in Bahrain
• Host’s Bahrain identity card or residence permit
• Proof of relationship for a family visit
• Detailed travel itinerary
• Previous travel history
• Proof of legal residence in the country from which the application is submitted

Bahrain eVisa Application Process

1. Complete the Bahrain visa eligibility questionnaire.
2. Select the visitor visa option displayed for the applicant.
3. Complete the online visa application form.
4. Upload the required supporting documents.
5. Pay the initial application fee online.
6. Wait for the application to be assessed by Bahrain’s immigration authority.
7. Complete any additional payment requested after approval.
8. Download and print the approved eVisa.
9. Travel using the same passport used for the visa application.

The approved eVisa is issued electronically, and no physical visa sticker is placed in the passport before travel.

Processing Time

Bahrain visitor eVisa applications normally take approximately 3–5 working days. Certain applications may take longer when additional verification or documents are required. Applicants should apply well before their intended travel date.

Important Conditions

• A visitor visa cannot be used for employment in Bahrain.
• Every traveller, including children, must have an individual passport and visa where required.
• Travellers must use the same passport for entry that was used in the online application.
• Visa approval does not automatically guarantee admission into Bahrain.
• Final entry permission is granted by the immigration officer at the port of entry.
• Applicants may be asked to present their return ticket, accommodation confirmation and financial evidence upon arrival.
• Processing fees are generally non-refundable when an application is refused.
• Travellers must not remain in Bahrain beyond the permitted stay shown on their visa.
