OR
• Confirmed onward journey ticket.
The traveller must also satisfy visa/passport requirements for the onward destination.

Financial Requirements
Sufficient funds are mandatory.
Maldives Immigration requires tourists to have sufficient financial resources to cover their stay.
The current official tourist-entry page does not publish one fixed minimum daily amount.
Tripex should therefore not invent a minimum bank balance.
Recommended evidence:
• Recent bank statement
• International credit card
• International debit card
• Cash / accessible travel funds.
Bank Statement
Not specifically listed as a mandatory Visa on Arrival document.
However, travellers must have sufficient funds.

Traveller Declaration
through the official IMUGA portal.

Up to 96 hours / 4 days before arrival.

FREE
Maldives Immigration specifically warns travellers not to pay unofficial websites for the Traveller Declaration.
Official Portal:
https://imuga.immigration.gov.mv/
Important:
Outbound travellers are no longer required to complete the Traveller Declaration when leaving Maldives. Only inbound travellers currently need to complete it.
Travel Medical Insurance
Not listed as a universal mandatory Tourist Visa on Arrival requirement.
However, comprehensive international travel medical insurance is strongly recommended.
Yellow Fever
Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate is required only where applicable based on the traveller's recent travel history.
Maldives requires a valid certificate for relevant travellers arriving from or through Yellow Fever-risk countries.
The requirement can apply to travellers who:
• Have visited a Yellow Fever-risk country within the previous 6 days
OR
• Had airport transit of more than 12 hours in a Yellow Fever-risk country.
Children below 1 year are exempt.
For a first Yellow Fever vaccination, the certificate becomes valid from the 10th day after vaccination and is recognised for life under the current rules.
An Indian traveller flying directly from India without relevant Yellow Fever-risk travel history does not require the certificate solely because they hold an Indian passport.
