• Indian ordinary passport holders require a visa before travelling to Mali.
• Applications must now be started online through the official Mali Ministry of Foreign Affairs digital portal.
• Handwritten/paper applications are no longer accepted unless processed through the official system.
• Applicant must create an online account.

• Upload supporting documents in PDF or JPG format.

Passport Requirements

The current New Delhi Embassy page does not publish a specific 35 × 45 mm dimension.

Hotel Booking / Invitation

Applicant must provide either:
• Hotel reservation
OR
• Legalised invitation letter from Mali.
For an ordinary hotel-based tourist:

The invitation letter must meet Mali's legalisation requirements.
Return / Round-Trip Ticket
Mandatory.
The Embassy requires:
Copy of round-trip flight reservation.

Yellow Fever Vaccination
Mandatory.
The Embassy of Mali in New Delhi specifically requires:
Copy of Yellow Fever vaccination card as part of the visa application.
Mali is also listed by the Government of India as a Yellow Fever-endemic country.
For Indian travellers:
• Yellow Fever vaccination should be taken at an authorised vaccination centre.
• The certificate becomes valid 10 days after vaccination.
• A valid Yellow Fever certificate is recognised for the lifetime of the vaccinated person under the current rules.
Important for Return to India
Indian health authorities require passengers travelling to and from Yellow Fever-endemic countries to possess a valid Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate.
Travellers returning from Mali without a valid certificate may be subject to quarantine procedures in India.

Important – Do Not Use Paper / Email Visas
The Embassy of India in Bamako specifically warns Indian nationals against travelling to Mali using unofficial paper visas sent by email.
Indian nationals are advised to obtain a valid Malian visa through the official process and travel with the proper visa issued/stamped through the Malian authorities.

Indian ordinary passport holders require a Tourist Visa before travelling to Mali. Applications are submitted through Mali's official digital consular portal and normally take 5–10 business days. A passport with at least 6 months validity, accommodation or legalised invitation, return flight booking and Yellow Fever certificate are required.
