Travel to Mauritius with Visa on Arrival for Indian Citizens
• Indian ordinary passport holders can obtain a Tourist Visa on Arrival in Mauritius.
• Maximum initial Visa on Arrival period:
60 days
• No Embassy tourist visa application is normally required before departure.
• No eVisa is currently required for this standard tourist route.
• No VFS appointment is required.
• Traveller must hold a valid passport.
• Passport must remain valid for at least 6 months beyond the intended period of stay.
• Traveller must hold a valid return or onward ticket.
• Traveller must be eligible to re-enter their country of origin or residence.
• Confirmed hotel accommodation or acceptable sponsorship for accommodation is required.
• Traveller must have adequate funds for the entire stay.
• The current official financial reference is normally:
USD 100 per person per day or equivalent, excluding board/accommodation expenses.
• Visitors must not undertake gainful employment without the appropriate residence/work permission.
• Final admission remains subject to Mauritius Immigration.
Passport Requirements

• Minimum validity:
6 months beyond the intended stay
• Passport must be a recognised travel document.
• Passport should have sufficient space for immigration entry/exit endorsement.
Return / Onward Ticket
Mandatory.
Traveller must hold:
• Confirmed return ticket to India
OR
• Confirmed onward ticket to another destination.
The traveller must also be legally eligible to enter the onward destination.
Accommodation
Mandatory.
Traveller must have:
• Confirmed hotel/resort booking
OR
• Acceptable sponsorship for accommodation.
If sponsored by a Mauritian resident/citizen, Immigration may request sponsor details including:
• Name
• Address
• Profession
• Telephone number
• National Identity Card
• Utility bill.
Financial Requirements
Mauritius publishes a financial reference of approximately:
USD 100 per person per day
or equivalent, to cover expenses other than board/accommodation.
Examples:
5-day trip:
Approximately USD 500
7-day trip:
Approximately USD 700
10-day trip:
Approximately USD 1,000
This is an immigration reference and not a guaranteed admission formula.
Bank Statement
Not specifically listed as a universal mandatory Visa on Arrival document.
However, travellers must demonstrate adequate funds.

Mauritius All-in-One Travel Form
Required.
Current Mauritius aviation/health rules state that incoming passengers must complete the:

issued by the Ministry of Health and Wellness and present it at the Health Counter.

The form is FREE.
Travellers should complete it before departure and carry the generated confirmation/QR code.

No advance VFS/Embassy biometric appointment is required.
Normal identity and immigration checks are carried out at the border.
Yellow Fever
A Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate is not automatically required solely because the traveller holds an Indian passport.
Mauritius's current official health rules require vaccination certificates where travellers arrive directly from areas affected by Yellow Fever or cholera according to applicable health notifications.
Indian travellers visiting other African Yellow Fever-risk destinations before Mauritius should check the requirement carefully according to their routing.
COVID-19
Current Mauritius tourism guidance states that:
• Pre-departure COVID-19 testing is not required.
• Testing on arrival is not required under the standard current travel rules.
Travellers must nevertheless comply with any public-health measures applicable at the time of travel.
Extension
A visitor requiring additional time may apply to the Mauritius Passport and Immigration Office before the existing authorised stay expires.
Extension is subject to approval.
Documents may include:

• Arrival stamp copy
• Return-ticket reservation
• Last 3 months bank statements
• Accommodation confirmation
• Sponsor documents where applicable.
Mauritius states that Tourist Visa permission may reach a maximum of 6 months in a calendar year on a case-by-case basis, subject to Immigration approval.
An extension should never be guaranteed by Tripex.
